Head Tracking Control
DJI Goggles

Chinese drone-maker, DJI has created a must-have accessory for its drone users, the DJI Goggles.

It’s a VR headset designed for seamless FPV flying with DJI products. Its pair of 5-inch 1920×1080 FullHD screens displays a real-time image taken from the drone camera. Instead of controlling the drone with the remote controller joysticks, the “Head Tracking” function allows users to control both aircraft yaw and camera tilt by their head movement; turning left or right to yaw left or right, and then straightening their head to stop the turn. The DJI Goggles also perfectly pair with the new Intelligent Flight Mode: Fixed-Wing mode, in which the drone doesn’t turn but instead files forward with enough rotational movement for realistic flight simulation.

Although it seems like a perfect package for the DJI drone users, it is worth noting that the Goggles weigh a hefty 995g which might be a bit too much to wear for a lengthy flight session.

The DJI Goggles are priced at $449 USD. Check out the details on DJI’s website.
