British City Style
Barbour x Brompton collection

A classic Barbour waxed jacket is often considered to be one of the most versatile and durable weatherproof outerwear items on the market, with a long history that can be dated back to 1894. Now the lifestyle brand has collaborated with Brompton Bicycle — another fellow British brand — to celebrate British style and the joy of the journey with a limited collection featuring jackets, tees, bags and a dual-branded folded bike.

While the jackets traditionally come in muted colours to blend in with the countryside scenery, for this special collection they have been reimagined with urban cyclists in mind. The limited edition waxed jacket features reflective panels in bright colours for high visibility, a detachable hood, cooling airflow vents and mesh panel lining. The reversible quilted jacket can be worn in either classic olive or a striking shade of orange. A range of t-shirts featuring illustrations from Fei Wang, AKA. Mr Slowboy further add to the theme of cycling in the city.

The signature folded bike has been given a custom Amble Sands paint finish, with the 6-gear set-up ready for traversing the city and beyond. It features a Brook weatherproof seat made of natural rubber and recycled materials and is paired with Schwalbe Almotion multi-surface tyres that ride well on both pavement and gravel, and in wet or dry conditions. The collection also includes travel bags made in Barbour’s iconic waxed cotton fabric to keep out the rain.

Selected pieces from the limited collection are available at the Barbour x Brompton pop-up store located at Belowground, Landmark Atrium.
