Ready to rumble
McLaren 720S

McLaren has just released its latest automotive offering at the Geneva Motor Show; the stunning new 2018 McLaren 720S.

This newest McLaren is ready to rumble with a reimagined engine that retains just 41% of the internal parts from the previous version. The engine size increases from the 650S’s 3.8 litres to 4.0 litres and sports new twin-scroll turbochargers with the output rising to 710hp and 568lb-ft of torque. The chassis and its components have also been lightened, giving the 720S a 2,828.5 pound dry weight and 3,128 kerb weight, all ably managed by the Variable Drift Control system or the Proactive Chassis Control II system developed jointly by McLaren and the University of Cambridge.

All in all, the new 720S perfectly demonstrates McLaren’s ambition and capability to produce an all-around road rocket. Expect the energised 720S to give the Ferrari 488 GTB or Lamborghini Huracan a run for their money.
