A Red Hot Rocket
Mercedes-AMG GT Concept

Mercedes-AMG will unveil its stunning new “AMG GT Concept” super-saloon to the world at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show that kicks off on March 9.

Arriving just in time for the AMG’s 50th anniversary, the four-door concept car sports “Hot Red” livery and will become AMG’s third dedicated series in its lineup, following the SLS and the current GT. The GT concept is believed to be introducing a new twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 hybrid engine that should convert 805hp into a 0-60mph sprint in only 3.3 seconds. That’s more than adequate to replace the CLS Shooting Brake in Mercedes’ line-up.

“With the Mercedes-AMG GT Concept, we are giving a preview of our third independently developed sports car and are extending the attractive AMG GT family to include a four-door variant,” said Tobias Moers, Chairman of Mercedes-AMG.
