Racing & Emotion Livery Chairs
Iconic race cars meet classic furniture designs

When it comes to mid-century modern furniture, I’ve always been partial to the Egg Chair by Arne Jacobsen. Perhaps it has something to do with the design’s rounded curves, retro-futuristic silhouette or supportive structure, but there are few classic chairs I consider more covetable than the Danish designer’s 1958 masterpiece. Recently, our team came across a company called Racing & Emotion, which creates original collector’s items inspired by both iconic race cars and iconic furniture designs — including Jacobsen’s iconic Egg Chair.

Made in Le Mans, Racing & Emotion produces and sells painted egg chairs, ball chairs and door sculptures with liveries taken from a wide range of racing cars. Among them are some of motorsport history’s most recognizable automobiles, including the Porsche 917K — winner of the 1970 24 Hours of LeMans race — BASF BMW M1, Maserati Tipo 60/61 “Birdcage” and the McLaren F1 MP4 /4 driven by Ayrton Senna when he claimed his first title in 1988. There’s also the option of custom designs for more creatively-inclined customers, which makes the chairs even more attractive to car lovers like ourselves.
