Protecting Our Nature
Timberland Spring/Summer 2020

Yo Yang the Taiwanese actor has been conscious about environmental protection for years.  In his personal life, he created the “Birthday Project” by introducing various -conservation-related news and updates on his birthday via the personal blog; even in his work life, Yang has also been active in several significant projects like the Timberland’s desert reforestation project in China’s Horqin Desert with the help of Japanese NGO, Green Network.  His great passion for protecting the environment made him become the face of Timberland’s workwear-inspired line of Spring/Summer 2020.

The iconic fashion brand of workwear, Timberland developed its own Nature Needs Heroes campaign, which aims at applying recycled, organic and renewable materials to its fashion items.  The new season collection uses mainly the organic cotton grown without harmful chemicals, and the brand’s proprietary ReBOTL™ for lining, which is a fabric made from at least 50% recycled PET bottle.

One of the key items is the Mount Tecumseh Worker Jacket which is a double-breasted outerwear with stylish reflective tape detailing.  The jacket uses a textile blend of 85% ReBOTL™ material and 15% organic cotton for greater comfort but without sacrificing our nature.  The classic 6” Boot of the brand has been updated as Treadlight 6” Waterproof Boot.  The new boot possesses a striking two-tone upper made from premium leather sourced from an LWG Silver-Rated tannery and sealed with TimberDry™ waterproof membrane and is available for both men and women.  An alternate boot style is the Brooklyn 6” Boot which combines OrthoLite®footbed and AeroCore™ Energy System for guaranteed comfort.
