The Ferrari 180 Testa Rossa Children's Car to go on sale in New York

The Ferrari 180 Testa Rossa was produced by Modena Ferrarina Italia, and has all of the character and good looks of the 250 Testa Rossa, at just a fraction of the size.

Powered by a 180-Watt, 0.3 hp, 12-volt motor, producing 14 KpH at 5,000 rpm, the Ferrari 180 Testa Rossa was entirely hand assembled using steel bodywork, unique aluminium independent suspension, rack and pinion steering, and mechanical drum brakes. It was displayed for several years at the Maranello Rosso Museum in San Marino before leaving the museum collection in 2015, meaning it was kept in perfect condition and all of the mechanicals were in working order, including headlights and horn. The interior was also presented in beautiful condition, displaying a rare Nardi steering wheel marked number “1.”

The 180 Testa Rossa was exclusively distributed by Luigi Chinetti Motors in New York, Ferrari’s sole importer to the United States at the time of its production. According to RM Sotheby’s, this example is believed to be one of only six known to exist and is accompanied by a museum display stand. They expect the children’s car to fetch up to $80,000 at auction.
