Intense Wild Beast
Apollo Intensa Emozione

Following the teaser last week, the Apollo Intensa Emozione (IE) has finally been launched. The track-only hypercar aims to capture “the lost emotion and fading spirit of the cars we grew up loving” and it’s turned out to be an aggressive machine bristling with carbon fibre.

The angular carbon body features advanced aerodynamic elements such as a massive front splitter, large air intakes, adjustable dive planes, a huge rear wing and more. Underneath is the carbon fibre monocoque for keeping the weight down with better strength. The extensive use of carbon leads to a curb weight of just 1,250 kg, with a 45:55 front/rear weight distribution.

Apollo IE’s 6.3-litre naturally aspired V12 is based on Ferrari F12’s engine but uses new software and customised intake and exhaust system developed by Autotecnica Motori in Italy. It produces 769 hp and 760 Nm of torque transmitted through the sequential 6-speed gearbox via electro-pneumatic paddle shifters. The car takes 2.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h and can continue onwards to a maximum speed of 335 km/h.

Only 10 units of Apollo IE will be produced and each is priced at €2.3 million. With the level of exclusivity, owners can expect complete control in terms of bespoke elements, including a measure up to fit the driver’s seat. The automaker is also planning to create a street legal car after the Apollo IE.
