Bound for China and the US
Byton Unveiled its First Concept Car at CES 2018

Based in China, Byton is a new electric car company co-founded by Daniel Kirchert, the former managing director of Infiniti China, and Carsten Breitfeld, former head of BMW’s i8 program. During the CES tech show in Las Vegas, the company formally introduced its first concept SUV that has already drawn much attention from the public.

At 191-inches long, the SUV comes with an impressive 49-inch coast-to-coast BYTON Shared Experience Display. Users can control the vehicle through Byton Gesture Control, interact using voice command and activate the primary controls with the Byton Driver Tablet. There will be an entry-level specification providing a range of 250 miles (400 km); the high-end spec has a 325-mile target. With fast DC charging, it takes only 30 minutes to charge the battery up to 80%. The car is poised to serve as the primary car in your household.

Byton is currently planning to sell its first vehicle in China in 2019, with U.S. sales projected for 2020, so stay tuned.
