The New Thinnest Watch
Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC

Crafting the world’s thinnest mechanical watch has always been a quest pursued by some of the luxury watchmakers, and Bulgari once again secures this significant title with the latest Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC.

This limited edition timepiece has a remarkable thickness of just 1.70 mm, surpassing the previous record holder, the Richard Mille RM UP-01 Ferrari, by a mere 0.05 mm.In truth, any watch boasting a thickness under 2.00 mm is undeniably a masterpiece, blending cutting-edge technology with unparalleled craftsmanship. The subtle variance in thickness among these ultra-thin watches may escape the naked eye, yet it is satisfying for horology enthusiasts to witness such fierce competition.

The Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC features a 40 mm diameter case made of sandblasted titanium with a tungsten carbide plate. While maintaining the signature aesthetic of the renowned Octo Finissimo collection, Bulgari’s team undertook a complete re-engineering process to reduce the watch’s thickness by 0.1 mm compared to its predecessor. The BVL 180 movement, developed in collaboration with Concepto, has a 50-hour power reserve. At the back of the timepiece, two wheels handle winding and time setting, while a Data Matrix code provide access to additional information and visuals of the watch. Completing the ensemble is an ultra-thin 1.50 mm sandblasted titanium bracelet with an integrated folding buckle.

Limited to 20 pieces, the Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC titanium is priced at EUR 600,000.
