Every year during mid-August, Monterey Peninsula, California is a mecca for automobile enthusiasts thanks to its rich and diverse car-related activities. Numerous auto shows, historic race meets, auctions and festivals take place surrounding the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and RM Sotheby’s is one of the auction houses has always been the biggest player.

This year, the auction house is returning to Monterey with a total of 60 collector cars offered for sale. Vintage models, dating back to the 1910s, and classic cars from this century are included, while both track-focused racers and limited sports cars sharing the spotlight. The auction preview will start on August 16 and the auction itself will take place on August 18 and 19 at Portola Hotel & Spa and Monterey Conference Center.
