The catalogue for this year’s RM Sotheby’s Monterey sale is getting bigger and bigger. The latest addition to the auction is this 1979 McLaren M24B Indianapolis raced by Johnny Rutherford at the 63rd 500 Mile International Sweepstakes.

The M24B was powered by a Ford Cosworth DFX V8 engine, which was a 2.65-litre version of the DFV that McLaren was running in Formula One. The car still bears the #4 Budweiser livery that Rutherford raced at the 1979 Indianapolis 500.

The M24B is listed without a reserve price and will be auctioned at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey sale this August.
