The Legendary Rivalry
Ford v. Ferrari Trailer

Three examples of Ford GT40 Mk II crossing the finish line in an epic 1-2-3 win at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans was probably one of the biggest milestones of the automaker and marks the key chapter in motorsports history. The story of how the legendary GT40 came together is being chronicled in an upcoming featured film Ford v. Ferrari, and 20th Century Fox has released the film’s first trailer.

Starring Matt Damon as Caroll Shelby and Christian Bale as British driver Ken Miles, Ford v. Ferrari stays true to facts and retells the story of how Henry Ford II (played by Tracy Letts) was keen to build a race car for beating Ferrari at the 1966 Le Mans. From the trailer we can expect plenty of thrilling car testing and racing scenes, and how Shelby and Miles “battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons” to build the legendary car. Ford V. Ferrari is directed and co-written by James Mangold and will hit the cinemas on November 15.
