The MC20 Gets Extreme
Maserati MCXtrema tests on track

Maserati has unveiled a brief video showcasing the MCXtrema, its highly anticipated track-only limited edition, ahead of its scheduled debut in late summer this year.

With only 62 units slated for production, the MCXtrema is an evolution of the Maserati MC20 super sports car, boasting a beefed-up 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine capable of generating 730 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque. The rigorous testing of this track-focused machine took place in February at the Autodromo Varano de’ Melegari, with GT class title winner and Maserati’s chief test driver, Andrea Bertolini, at the helm. Bertolini had been integral to the development process, participating in the Maserati dynamic simulator sessions from the project’s inception, which amounted to approximately 200 hours, in addition to 1000 hours of virtual analysis for various simulations.

Each MCXtrema owner will have access to the dedicated MCXlusiva customization program, ensuring that their track car aligns precisely with their vision. Options range from selecting between the exclusive Blue Xtrema livery and the three other variants: Tech Beast, Corse, and Speed Beast, for the exterior finish, to choosing between Matte Black or Grigio Corsa Bright for the wheel rims, and Blue, Black, or Ice for the single bucket seat. For those seeking even greater personalization, the BEASTspoke variant offers additional customization options. Moreover, all owners will benefit from the exclusive MCXperience services, enhancing their overall racing experiences.

Despite all units of the MCXtrema being sold out, enthusiasts can still revel in the adrenaline-pumping thrill of this racing marvel by cranking up the volume while watching the accompanying video.
