TVR to debut new supercar at Goodwood

British sports car manufacturer TVR is making a comeback and will unveil their new sports car at Goodwood Revival this September. The new model will be joined by some of the most iconic TVR vehicles for celebrating the automaker’s 70th anniversary. This is also the very first time Goodwood Revival to host a new car debut.

TVR released the latest rendering image which is just a glimpse of exhaust tip with this announcement. What we know so far is that the new sports car is deigned by Gordon Murray whose past creations includes the McLaren F1. It will by powered by a 5-litre, Cosworth-developed V8 engine and reach 100 km/h in less than four seconds before hitting the top speed at 320 km/h. The car will be lightweight at around 1,200 kg thanks to the aluminium and carbon fibre mixed construction.

There is a chance that TVR will call the launch edition “Griffith” as they already have the name registered. 500 examples will be produced for the first batch and it will priced under £90,000.
