Let’s Go Surfing
Deus “Sea Sider”

Most custom bike tuners focus on enhancing performance, but what Deus has done for the “Sea Sider” is more about pure lifestyle. The Deus outpost in Canggu, Bali, just custom-built a surf-commuter so handy and lightweight that it resembles a bicycle more than it does a motorbike.

The core of this island rider is a 1974 Honda C70 Super Cub, although the wheezer has been pulled in favour of a 1995 Honda Astray motor. Lightweight rims imported from Japan help keep the weight down, and Deus also stripped off all unnecessary parts to keep things as simple and purposeful as possible. The handlebars and the front light are restored vintage bicycle pieces, while the custom-made front basket with metal frame and wooden slats offers a nostalgic touch. The exhaust is handmade, as is the board racks, which let the surfboard sit perfectly even when you are rushing to catch the waves.
