Vinci 2.0 smart headphones

It is best to pack light during exercise, which is why many headphones on the market have built-in storage capacity for downloaded music or Wi-Fi for music streaming services. The new Vinci 2.0 headphones, currently taking pre-orders on Kickstarter, are equipped with both. What makes Vinci 2.0 stand out is the 3G cellular support with SIM card built-in and its Quad-Core ARM Cortex A-7 processor, meaning user can make a call, send a text message, set a reminder or handle other chores as a standalone device and without pairing it with a smartphone.

Vinci 2.0 is GPS-enabled for tracking exercise performance. It also monitors user’s heart rate and can function as a personal coach. The innovative product features artificial intelligence for music recommendations: Firstly it learns the user’s music listening habits and relates it with the physical statistics. Secondly, it uses natural language processing (“NLP”) algorithms to recognise the user’s words and understand the intentions. Combining the two, the headphones will be able recommend music based on user’s query, mood and activity.

Vinci 2.0 is fully integrated with Amazon Alexa so there is endless potential for the tasks it can handle. Switching music can be done through gesture control as well as the standard voice control. Weighing just 86 g, the headphones’ magnetic neckband is bendable for securing it in place comfortably during activities. Battery life is up to eight hours for stand alone playtime and 20 hours for bluetooth playback.
