More Than a New Name
Ferrari GTC4Lusso

As the Geneva Motor Show is fast approaching, more and more carmakers are revealing their latest models that are going to debut in the show in March. Up next on the list is the new GTC4Lusso, the updated version of the Ferrari FF. The GTC4Lusso’s name references well-known high performance predecessors such as the 330 GTC and its 2+2 sister model 330 GT as well as the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso. The number 4 in the name is simply referring to the car’s number of seats.

The refined shooting brake coupé is better looking than its predecessor and has a more streamlined shape. The curve of the roof has been slightly lowered, giving the car a sportier appearance emphasising its muscular shoulders. The 6.3-litre V12 engine now produces 680 bhp, which is a moderate improvement from the Ferrari FF’s 651 hp output. The top speed of the GTC4Lusso is 335 km/h and it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, that is 0.3 seconds faster than the Ferrari FF. The drive system has been upgraded to the newly patented 4RM-S (four-wheel drive and steering) system. The Slip Side Control (4.0) system is also updated and now incorporates electronically-controlled differential and electronically-adjustable dampers. Other changes and features in the interior include the latest infotainment system with 10.25-inch HD touchscreen and a more compact steering wheel.
