Independent watchmaker HYT achieved significant success earlier this year with the launch of the new T1 Series watches. In time for Geneva Watch Days 2024, the series welcomes three new models under the name “Millésime Edition.”
The term “millésime” refers to a year in which a particular wine was produced, a concept HYT has borrowed for these new T1 timepieces, available from September 2024 to April 2025.
The T1 Series features a reduced 45 mm octagonal case. The green and purple “millésime” models have cases made from satin-finished and micro-blasted titanium and DLC titanium, while the chocolate version combines 5N gold and DLC titanium. The fully closed dial, enhanced by a vertical grain satin finish, plays beautifully with natural light. HYT’s signature fluidic time display mechanism is present, with hour indicators beneath glass tubes filled with liquid — red for the chocolate and green versions, and black for the purple version — while the Arabic numerals improve minute legibility.
The watches are powered by the hand-wound HYT 501-CM calibre, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and water resistant up to 50 metres. A 72-hour power reserve indicator is visible on the sectoral subdial at 2 o’clock. The watch is completed with a black strap that follows the wrist’s natural curve for a comfortable fit.
The green and purple versions of the T1 Series “Millésime Edition” are priced at CHF 50,000, while the chocolate version is priced at CHF 66,000. These limited editions are defined by their availability within a specific time frame rather than a fixed quantity.
