For car enthusiasts who appreciate the aesthetics of older-generation vehicles but desire modern technology, a restomod could be the ideal solution. Land Rover has recognised this demand and announced a new commissioning service for factory-built Classic Defender V8 restomods.
Offered by Land Rover Classic Works Bespoke, this personalisation and restoration service allows clients to commission a “made to order” restomod of the Classic Defender, originally produced between 2012 and 2016. Available in 90 or 110 body styles, the donor Defender is equipped with a 5.0-litre petrol V8 engine delivering 405 hp and 515 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The service offers extensive customisation, from materials and colours to accessories and upgrades. Options include grille styles, wheels, off-road accessories such as roof racks, expedition cages, and more. The interior is also fully customisable, with trim and seat options, and a Land Rover Classic Infotainment System featuring satellite navigation, DAB radio, Bluetooth, and a 3.5-inch touchscreen.
The Land Rover Classic Defender V8 by Works Bespoke is priced from £190,000 excluding tax.
