Audi Layer Desktop Keyboard Set

There’s no denying that our daily lives are very much intertwined with the use of computers, and for most of us, the humble keyboard is perhaps our most constant tactile companion. So it’s not hard to understand why when industrial and product designer Jarim Koo set out to extend Audi’s brand and style into everyday items, the keyboard was one the first objects that came to mind.

Named the Audi Layer, the keyboard has a simple matte grey aesthetic; a hat tip towards space-age styling. Koo’s idea is to merge all control peripherals into one elegant single unit design, achieved through its 4-in-1 functionality. The set includes a huge flat trackpad that serves as a nice keyboard cover when unused; it even doubles its function as a tablet when you activate the stylus inside. Underneath the trackpad is a minimal sci-fi-looking premium keyboard, matched with a beautifully streamlined Audi-branded mouse. Here’s hoping this unified direction becomes the future trend of computer peripheral design.
