From Le Mans To Luxury
Cadillac V-One Concept

Cadillac has taken its endurance-racing expertise in a more exclusive direction with the new V-One Concept. Conceived as a one-of-one, single-seat performance study, it brings together the brand’s V-Series identity and the engineering foundations of the V-Series.R prototype racer, exploring how genuine competition hardware might translate into a highly personalised customer car.

Co-developed by Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing and Dallara, the V-One shares far more than visual inspiration with the race car. Its body and overall proportions are derived directly from the V-Series.R, giving the concept an authentic prototype stance rather than simply borrowing motorsport cues. The aerodynamic package follows the same philosophy, complemented by new V-Series wheels and darker badging for a more tailored appearance. A hand-sprayed paint gradient fades from silver to deep navy, referencing the transition from daylight to darkness during an endurance race.

Underneath, the V-One uses a hybrid V8 powertrain producing a combined 830 hp, with suspension and transmission components, along with selected electronics, also derived from the V-Series.R. Double-wishbone suspension and pushrod-actuated spring-and-damper systems reinforce the car’s prototype credentials, although Cadillac says the concept has been designed to be easier to operate than the full race machine.

The cockpit is deliberately unconventional. There is only one seat, tailored to the driver and surrounded by exposed carbon structure and a bespoke interface developed with racing engineers. The steering wheel follows competition practice, with controls personalised for its owner, while recycled Cadillac Collection fabrics and a numbered door plaque add a more crafted, individual feel.

More than a styling exercise, the V-One is intended to show how Cadillac could bring its race-winning technology closer to customers. For now, it remains a concept, but its combination of prototype engineering and one-off luxury makes the direction particularly intriguing.
