Eco Living Dream
Ecocapsule goes into production

There have been a few outdoor living concepts floating around in the last few years. While most of them are still in the initial concept stage, it’s good to know that at least one of them does connect to our real world and is in the final testing stage.

Ecocapsule was first visualised in 2015 by a team based in Slovakia. The self-sustainable egg-shaped pod is powered by solar and wind energies with the facility of a boutique hotel room with additional kitchenette. It also has a rain water collection surface, which is then filtered and stored for future use. While the interior is not particularly spacious, it is good enough to fit a double bed inside – the wilderness is your real living room, anyway.

The team is being backed by international investors and a prototype is now being exhibited in Astana Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan. First batch of Ecocapsules will be in production and shipped by the end of the year. Priced at EUR 79,900 for the first 50 units, an order can be placed on Ecocapsule’s website, with detailed technical specifications listed.
