2025 F1 Vision Concept

Halo protection is set in stone for Formula 1 race cars from the next season onwards, but the debate still rages on. While what exactly is the best safety practice should be left for the professionals, what we, as fans, can do now is look further ahead and consider alternative designs that might be used in the future.

For his proposal for the 2025 F1 season, Italian designer Antonio Paglia has introduced a piece of the past into the future. He has adopted a transparent bubble covering the cockpit of his concept race car, similar to that of military fighters and the “Shield” protection idea rejected by FIA.

Paglia envisions that future F1 cars will have larger wheels and will be much lower. The body is designed with more attention to aerodynamics, including a new rear wing and a few other parts bulging out from the body. Overall, the design is appealing and something that race viewers and probably even drivers would not complain about.
