Bringing Back Former Glory
1967 Ferrari 412 P restored by Ferrari Classiche

Since 1947, Ferrari has had a well-deserved reputation as one of the best car manufacturers in the world. With many of its classic models still spending time on the road, the automaker set up Ferrari Classiche in 2006 at its headquarters in Maranello, focusing on handling the complex restorations needed to bring a car back to its original condition, as well as offering maintenance servicing and certifying classic Ferraris as genuine. The department recently restored a historical 1967 Ferrari 412 P to its former glory in factory condition, and it just looks incredible.

The Ferrari 412 P was used for racing by Ferrari’s privateer customer teams, including NART, Scuderia Filippinetti, Ecurie Francorchamps, and Maranello Concessionaires, and was also known as the P3/4. The nickname came from the fact that this particular model took the chassis of the earlier P3 racing prototypes from the 1966 season and paired that with the 1967 P4 bodywork, suspension, and alloy wheels. Powered by a two-valve per cylinder four-litre V12 engine pushing 420 hp — which was also brought from the previous year but modified to feature Weber carburettors instead of the injection system — the 412 P has a max speed of 310km/h.

While Ferrari has not disclosed the exact details of this particular 412 P restored example, judging by its eye-catching yellow painted body, it could well be an ex-Ecurie Francorchamps racecar.
