Following the Jesse Reed and Hamish Smyth duo’s reprint project of “NASA Graphics Standards Manual” on Kickstarter last year, the Australian publisher, Reproduction IO, has also recently launched a reprint project for “Apollo 11 Flight Plan” on Kickstarter. They have already reached $500, 000 Australian dollars in two months, which is 35-times of their original target.

“Apollo 11 Flight Plan” is one of the most iconic documents in the history of manned landings on the moon. In spite of the numerous versions available for download online, these versions are of poor quality, with either incorrect fonts or low-resolution images. On the other hand, Reproduction IO’s “Apollo 11 Flight Plan” reprint team not only strictly follows NASA style protocol but also corrects the fonts, colours and kerning on every page by hand. Further, they recreate all of the tables and diagrams with vectors thus also reproducing the original flavour of the manual.

Reproduction IO has also created several covers for the manual. Apart from the unique retro style, the team has also designed a modern revised version. The Apollo logo and font on the cover receive foil stamping, and the book is made with reinforced paper, which greatly enhances the collectable value of this reprint manual.
