Two hearts beating as one
McLaren MP4/31 and P1 GTR in matching livery

McLaren has released these stylish photos to celebrate this weekend’s  Belgium Grand Prix. To honour this season’s MP4/31, the legendary Grand Prix team presents the P1 GTR with splendid livery matching with the McLaren-Honda Formula One racer.

The track-only hypercar adopts the dark grey and orange colour scheme from the McLaren MP4/31, and the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division have gone to great lengths to link the two very different vehicles together as a team. Even the distinctive elements on the P1 GTR such as the orange-accented upper tips of the side mirrors and the car’s profile embellishment fit perfectly support the visual concept; it is clear that McLaren views the pair as two hearts beating as one. Further, with Team McLaren launching a massively upgraded Honda power unit at Spa to take the fight to Toro Rosso ,Force India and possibly Ferrari, perhaps this celebration is McLarens’ way of suggesting that Spa is the start of something great.
