A New Take on Physical Music
Trettitre Retro Back to the Future audio system

With streaming becoming the norm and the most common way of listening to music, Trettitre’s “Back to the Future” system is a carefully considered reworking of how physical media can exist in a modern living space. The retro-inspired audio setup not only supports vinyl records, but also includes CD and cassette playback into a single modular ecosystem.

At the centre of the system is the TTT-W wall rack, a fully metal, magnetic mounting structure that holds each component in a clean vertical arrangement. It also wirelessly charges the units, removing the need for visible cabling and turning the entire system into a sculptural installation.

The three core components are designed to work both independently and together. The LP3 turntable is the visual and technical highlight. It features a self-balancing tonearm system that automatically sets tracking force using sensors and a micro-servo mechanism, paired with an Audio-Technica cartridge for reliable playback. It also integrates Bluetooth with aptX HD and a built-in battery offering up to six hours of use.

Alongside it sits the DP3 CD player, which adopts a more playful approach with a rotating transparent lid and a compact OLED display. It retains tactile controls reminiscent of early digital players, while adding Bluetooth connectivity and USB-C charging.

Completing the trio is the CP3 cassette deck. Built with a solid metal body and traditional mechanical transport keys, it combines analogue tactility with modern decoding hardware for improved clarity, alongside wireless playback support.

The latest Trettitre audio system is currently available for backing on Kickstarter, and backers can choose to purchase the full system at US$399, or select individual components depending on their preferred formats and existing music collection.
