A Match Made in Heaven
Gucci Elton John 2018 Capsule Collection

When Alessandro Michele became the Creative Director for Gucci in 2015, Elton John was immediately a fan of his bold new vision for the company. As the British pop icon is embarking on his three-year “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tribute tour in the U.S in August, he has partnered with Michele to make Gucci the exclusive costume designer for his final tour. Michele remains an Elton John fan himself, so the collaboration is indeed a match made in heaven. And before the “goodbye” journey begins, the duo has prepared a capsule collection of the collaboration.

Inspired by the album cover of his 1971 single “Levon”, composed by Elton John and written by Bernie Taupin, the collection consists of long-sleeve sweatshirts, T-shirts, and leather totes featuring the album cover graphics.

The collection is available for pre-order now, with the full line arriving in Gucci stores from April to May. Meanwhile, the “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour will consist of more than 300 shows around the world, finishing in 2021.
