A Champion Race Car
A Williams FW07 F1 Car is now being auctioned on Race Cars Direct

A coveted Williams FW07 F1 Car is now being auctioned on Race Cars Direct.

The #27 FW07/01 was Williams Grand Prix Engineering’s first attempt at a ‘ground effect’ car, which was also raced eight times during 1979 in the hands of Alan Jones & Clay Regazzoni with Jones claiming victory in the Dutch GP at Zandvoort. FW07/01 went on to race in the 1980 Aurora AFX British F1 Championship with four poles & three wins. It is now fully restored and powered by its ubiquitous Ford sponsored Cosworth DFV (V8) engine.

The current bid for the Williams FW07 is £675,000. As the auction will not be closed until March 31, we expect the final price will very well go up.
