While the idea of modifying a Raspberry Pi 3 isn’t exactly a strange one, using it to create a retro gaming arcade cabinet is less of a common sight. Recently, Parse/Error has made a cabinet combining video games, a library and a bar. The team has used the Recalbox system, which contains different emulators for systems such as NEW, PSX, Neo Geo, SNES, MAME and Megadrive. Joysticks and buttons sets from Smallcab were then used, and with some time and craftsmanship, the special cabinet with using Raspberry Pi 3 was created.
