The New Fastest?
Aspark Owl

The Frankfurt Motor Show takes place next week and we are slowly gaining more and more information as to what will be on display. Japanese company Aspark is going to debut its first automobile project, the ‘Owl’ in the show and they aim to shock the world: the electric supercar is said to be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in less than 2 seconds.

Aspark was established in 2005 as a recruitment company. As the business grew they set up an R&D division for developing medical robots and electric vehicles, and the Owl has been under development since 2014.

It is unclear if the Owl is just a concept or a full on production model. If it is though, then it will be the  fastest accelerating production car in the world, beating the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and its 2.3 seconds record. At 990 mm tall, it is designed to offer the driver a low viewpoint to fully experience the brutal acceleration. The car is uses a carbon body and magnesium wheels to minimising weight. Detailed specifications have yet to be revealed but hopefully we will know more about it next week!
