The Heat Is On
Maserati MC-63 Concept

If you imagined a Maserati hypercar, what would it resemble? Italian designer, Andrea Ortile asked that question and created the Maserati MC-63 concept car, once again turning up the heat on rumours of a proposed Maserati hyper-creation.

Based on the Ferrari LaFerrari chassis and mechanicals, the lines take inspiration from the 1961 Maserati Tipo 63 Birdcage. Ortile’s Maserati MC-63 features the classic Maserati grille that helps supply air to the huge rear diffuser. The roof’s continuous curve establishes the elegant lines of the car, combining with the dual exhaust tips and F1 style rear fog lights to clearly define the spirit of the brand.

Regardless of the validity of the rumours, concepts like Ortile’s continue to show that the public wants a successor to the much-loved Maserati MC12.
