While Rolls-Royce has the Black Badge bespoke range targeting younger and more dynamic customers, Bentley’s Black Edition models seem to be chasing the same customer base. The latest sedan receiving the “darkening” treatment is the Bentley Flying Spur V8 S Black Edition.

The chrome trims of the car are changed to glossy black, including the radiator and window surrounds, headlight washer caps and door-handle inserts, while the new 21-inch seven-spoke wheels are also a glossy black. The lights are no exceptions and are now framed in black and tinted darker. The interior is again dominated in black but an option of contrasting accents on the seats can be selected.

The special edition is more than just an appearance upgrade. The 4.0-litre V8 engine is tuned for more power and  delivers 521 bhp and 680 Nm, which accelerates the vehicle to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 306 km/h.
