BMW has launched the M Performance Parts Concept just in times for the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Based on the road-going M2, the concept is packed with new, lightweight options that will soon be available.

For example, the changing the material of the hood alone has taken 8 kg off, and it will be available later this month. Some of the elements such as the front winglets, side sill winglets and back diffuser are available now for new orders of M2 competition, others like the side panels will be available in November and the roof in next March.

Apart from adding to the style, the 19-inch wheels finished in Frozen Gold are also 6 kg lighter than the regular ones, while gold accents are found around the grille, adorning the roof and the sides and in the interior. The cabin features weight reduction elements too with extensive use of carbon and Alcantara and carbon fibre sport seats and. Lastly, the M Performance coilover suspension lowers the concept by 20 mm.
