Tamiya has just announced the release of the Scuderia Ferrari SF70H 2017 Formula 1 model kit. The 1:20 plastic model kit is a replica of the F1 race car as it appeared in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix, during which Sebastian Vettel took first place in #5 car.

The modeller can choose to assemble Vettel’s #5 car or Kimi Räikkönen’s #7 the completed piece is 271 mm long and 100 mm wide. In order to stay true to the real thing, the model features a depiction of the gearbox at the engine rear. Inside the box you can also find some metallic transfers for recreating mirror surfaces and carbon fibre-look decals. The kit is priced at US$ 77 and will be on sale globally on 20 February.

To give the model a more realistic look, the Ferrari SF70H red paint, developed by Zero Paints, is an item that should not be missed. The shade is specifically matched to the Formula 1 car and is pre-thinned and ready for airbrushing.
