See Like A Child
Pau Buscató

Spanish photographer Pau Buscató, who now lives in Oslo, Norway is a master of wandering the streets and capturing intriguing images with a fresh eye. Children are always reminded to be more mature, serious and strong, which is precisely why adults have forgotten to perceive things through a child’s eye. To view ordinary things with pure wonder is the crucial element of Buscatós work; while his perception is straight-forward and simple, his images include the ability to make us smile as we notice the exciting details within all the moments he encounters. Buscató has named his work ‘Hopscotch’, after the traditional children’s game; pure fun starting from a simple idea, that could last all day long. The same goes for Buscatós work as he demonstrates a talent for viewing the same streets, the same shops or even the same bus stops and sees them transform into new stories. Buscató gives us a lesson on how to look for the fun and exciting parts in daily lives, to create a world that’s easier and happier.
