Snarkitecture is a New York-based collaborative studio that investigates the boundaries between art and architecture. The team was commissioned by UVA, a Portugal company that collaborates with designers from all over the world, to create the Slip Chair. The asymmetrical wooden frame of the Slip Chair is developed with two axes and is balanced out with a tapered and monolithic volumed stone that offers a horizontal surface for sitting on. The intriguing chair is crafted in Portugal with ash wood, and painted in white and black marble, with each chair being manually numbered.
