Reborn For Electric Era
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6

Royal Enfield has opened a new chapter with the revival of the Flying Flea, now reintroduced as a dedicated sub-brand focused entirely on electric motorcycles. The first model to emerge from this programme is the Flying Flea C6, a machine that blends heritage with a modern approach to urban mobility.

The Flying Flea name carries significant history. When it was first introduced in 1942, it was designed for wartime use, compact and lightweight enough to be parachuted into the field alongside British troops. It became known for its ability to navigate tight terrain with ease. More than eight decades later, that same philosophy has been reinterpreted for a new era.

The C6’s appearance draws heavily from its predecessor while introducing contemporary materials and engineering. A forged aluminium exoskeleton references the original drop cage, while the reengineered girder fork, now crafted from aluminium, provides both a distinctive look and improved stability. The magnesium-finned battery casing is equally functional, aiding heat dissipation while contributing to the bike’s lightweight construction.

Performance is tailored for city use. The C6 offers a range of up to 154 km, a top speed of 115 km/h, and a 3.91 kWh battery. Charging is designed to be accessible, with an onboard system that allows the bike to plug into a standard socket, delivering a claimed rate of one kilometre per minute. A 20 to 80 per cent charge takes approximately 65 minutes.

With five ride modes, including a custom setting, the riding experience remains a priority, allowing the bike to adapt to different conditions. A bidirectional crawl mode aids low-speed manoeuvring, while a belt drive ensures smooth, quiet operation. The circular 3.5-inch touchscreen display integrates connectivity features such as navigation, remote access, and real-time tracking, suited to the demands of modern riders.
