Race In Its Latest Form
2018 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3

Nissan has just updated the  GT-R Nismo GT3, which was first launched in 2012. The race car is based on the Nissan GT-R (R35) Nismo and conforms to FIA GT3 regulations.

In its first year of actual competition, the Nissan GT-R (R35) Nismo acheived plenty, including a 3rd place podium finish in Japan’s SUPER GT (GT300 class) and finishing the 3rd in the Blancpain GT Series Asia.

Compared to its predecessor, the new engine of the GT-R Nismo GT3 is mounted 150 mm lower, resulting in an optimised weight distribution and a lower centre of gravity. The front and rear suspension systems have been re-designed for better dynamics. There is also a new air-conditioning system for the cabin. The race car is powered by a 3.8-litre biturbo V6 paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox, generating 550 hp. The GT-R Nismo GT3 is priced at 60 million Japanese Yen, which is round US$ 550,000, and can be ordered by any race team with optional and spare parts available at extra cost. Each unit will be build-to-order with first delivery in January 2019.
