Past and Present F12 TdF
2017 Ferrari F12tdf

Ferrari’s hardcore F12tdf is a favourite of ours here at the Blackbird Auto Journal office, not just because of its beauty and its raw performance, but its nod to one of the all time greats, Ferrari’s GT Berlinetta Tour de France, or TdF for short.

This particular tailor-made F12tdf, one of 799 produced, pays homage to the original Ferrari that dominated the iconic Tour de France road race back in the 1950s, and is coated in a familiar light blue hue and French flag stripe running across its back. Other personal touches were also added, such as the bronze-coloured rims and the hand-painted Scuderia shield. In total there are more than US$ 110,000 worth of extras present on this car. In terms of performance, the F12tdf features the same 6.3-litre V12 as the standard car, which produces 769 hp, giving a 0 to 100 km/h of 2.9 seconds.

This unique car was originally delivered new to San Diego and it still only has delivery miles on the odometer. It will be auctioned at RM Sotheby’s Arizona event on 18-19 January.
