Reuben Wu, apart from his perhaps more high-profile role as the co-founder and keyboardist in electronic band Ladytron, is a prolific photographer with both personal and commissioned projects under his belt.

In the 2017 PDN Photo Annual award winning series “Lux Noctis”, Wu adds in his personal touch to the framework of traditional landscape photography, resulting in images influenced by ideas of planetary exploration, 19th century sublime romantic painting and science fiction. For the latest additions to the series, Wu has created images of nighttime mountaintops that have a halo above them. The halo effect is skillfully achieved by flying a lightened up drone around the mountaintops and capturing it with long exposure.
