After four years of anticipation, the Mercedes-Benz Arrow460-Granturismo was recently launched at Saint Jean Cap Ferrat in France. Co-designed by the German carmaker and Silver Arrows Marine, this highly regarded motor yacht was created to merge design elements adopted from sports cars with specific requirements for maritime innovation. With a suggested entry price of USD 1.7 million, the Arrow460-Granturismo’s sculptural profile and innovative character instantly set it apart from other custom yachts. Only ten examples are planned, with a limit of one yacht per country.
At 14 metres long, the sleek shimmering silver motor yacht has sumptuous space for ten passengers. Powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines, each producing 480 hp, the Arrow460-Granturismo has a cruising speed of 56 km/h with a heavy load but can be pushed to a top speed of 74 km/h with a light load. As with all Mercedes-Benz custom releases, the Arrow460-Granturismo will be tailor-made to each owner’s needs within the design principles of the two luxury brands. Large retractable windows and a windscreen inset in the flowing arched roofline allow passengers to enjoy the all-round views while tables and beds are extendable to create further interior space. Together with the luxe master and bathroom unit, fine-grained eucalyptus trim, air conditioning system, audio system, a petit “wine cellar” and ice-making machine, the Arrow460-Granturismo is the ultimate maritime design statement ideal for day trips or staying onboard overnight.
