Electric Cars in the Near Future
LeECO LeSEE

Despite having been involved with the automotive industry for two years, Chinese internet company LeECO has just reached an agreement with Aston Martin and US electric start-up Faraday Future to help them take their first step toward transitioning from classic combustion driven dream cars to ultra-high performance futuristic electric vehicles.

At the recent Beijing Auto Show, LeECO presented their first electric car network concept, the LeSEE – their vision of the “Super Car” of the future. Their prototype showcased a range of high-end intelligence features such as obstacle detection, laser radar autopilot, a collapsible steering wheel, smart seats, dynamic armrests, ambient lighting and projection along with wireless charging technology. The car’s nose features extra large LED projection lights that switches between five colours to display the vehicle’s status to other road users. LeSEE will also incorporate LeECO’s entertainment system, sharing the same EUI as their existing services including sports, movies, TV shows, concerts, as well as other live content through the large touchscreen monitor. Content viewed on TV at home is also able to be transferred to the car seamlessly and effortlessly. If all of that isn’t enough, LeSEE also uses available electromagnetic induction charging technology that can continue to operate even when the Wi-Fi hotspot is turned off. According to LeSEE, the prototype has already begun testing with an electric drive system delivering an impressive maximum speed of 210 km/hour. That’s not bad for an autopilot.
