Liquid Metal
Lamborghini ALPHA-ONE

With luxury mobile phone maker Vertu shutting down its UK manufacturing operation, it seems that the heyday of luxury phones is over. There are still a few manufacturers continuing their development in this field though, and one of them is the Italian supercar maker Lamborghini. Its latest smart phone, the ALPHA-ONE, is crafted using premium Italian handmade leather, carbon fibre and ‘liquid metal’ side frames. LiquidAlloy is stronger than titanium and provides excellent resistance to scratches and dents. The material does not deteriorate, in fact it gets more polished with daily use. The Lamborghini’s Raging Bull logo as well as other supercar related signatures are all features on the phone.

Specification-wise, the Alfa One features a 5.5-inch WQHD screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a 20 Mp camera. It also supports two SIM cards and fingerprint scanning control. The mobile phone will first launch in the UK and UAE, then gradually in Korea, China, Russia and other markets.
