Koenigsegg Agera RS breaks the 0-400-0 km/h record

Last month, Bugatti Chiron set a new world record for a 0-400-0 run, meaning the car accelerated from stand still to 400 km/h then immediately went back to stand still, in 41.96 seconds. The French hypercar did not keep the title for long though as Koenigsegg Agera RS just broke the record earlier this month at Vandel Airfield in Denmark.

Koenigsegg mentioned that one of the Agera RS owners was very keen for the Swedish automaker to verify the car’s performance in comparison to other manufacturers, so much that he let his car to take on this job. The heroic Agera RS features the One:1 engine upgrade package that generates 1,360 hp and 1,371 Nm of torque and is equipped with a removable roll cage.

Koenigsegg factory driver Niklas Lilja was in charge of the challenge and went from 0-400-0 km/h in just 36.44 seconds over a distance of 2,441 metres. The 0-400 km/h acceleration took 26.88 seconds over 1,958 metres, while the journey from 400 to 0 km/h took just 9.56 seconds over a distance of 483 metres. Who knows how long this record is going to last before another new hypercar does a better job at it.
