Fiercely Reimagined
Shelby Cobra 2020

The original Shelby Cobra was first launched in 1962 but produced only for a few years. Its short lifespan does not take away its legendary status, as it’s still very much sought after when it appears at auction. Now, 55 years since its launch, Boston-based designer Benjamin Hogan has come up with an updated vision of what a Shelby Cobra would look like if released in 2020.

The Shelby Cobra 2020 remains a two-seater but reimagined with a more aggressive and angular silhouette, that’s vastly more futuristic than its original, classic style. Up front, the emphasis is on an open grille with two additional air intakes for extra engine cooling. The windscreen is exceptionally slanted, while the horizontal LED taillights and centrally mounted exhaust pipes complete its fierce appearance. Although its performance specs are unspecified, the Shelby Cobra 2020 concept sports a combustion engine supported by an electric motor.
