LEGO House Opens September 28

Located at the center of Billund, Denmark, the LEGO House will open on September 28, 2017.

The complex, designed by the architectural firm BIG, formed by the famed Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, is comprised of 21 white bricks stacked on top of each other, crowned by an oversized 2×4 LEGO brick named the “Keystone”. The building is expected to attract approximately 250,000 guests each year.

The heart of the LEGO House is the experience zones, consisting of four colour-coded areas: red is creative, blue is cognitive, green is social, and yellow is emotional. A spectacular Masterpiece Gallery located in the basement exhibits LEGO’s impressive creations, as well as a History Collection where you can witness the development of the company and the LEGO brand over time. Furthermore, the ground level’s visitor services include a store, three restaurants, and conference facilities.

With the LEGO House is opening next month, LEGO has released a drone video showcasing the architecture from the air. Meanwhile, a special edition of LEGO House brick set will be released to coincide the opening.
