Following the launch of Google Home last year, the company is now launching Google Home Mini this October. The brand-new design is compact and can be easily integrated into any household, and the price is relatively more accessible too.

Inheriting the home-focus aspect of Google Home, Google Home Mini offers basic music playback and 360-degree sound, monitors the home through voice commands and connects to other Google devices. Additionally, Google has also added Voice Match, Hands Free Calling and some other new features. Voice Match allows switching between different users via voice recognition, while Hands Free Calling dials out via Google Voice service.

Google Home Mini is priced at US$49 and is available in three colours: Chalk, Charcoal and Coral. There are similar products in the market such as Amazon’s Echo Dot, but Google Home Mini has an advantage in terms of size and quality of sound. Its simple design with fabric mesh also fits more harmoniously in the home environment. It won’t be much of a surprise if Google Home Mini becomes as popular as Echo Dot upon its release on October 19th.
