For The Foresters
House On The Plateau In Sweden

If you happened to be wandering around the small lake of Rörsjön in Sweden recently, you might have spotted a “forester’s refugium” built and designed by architect Petra Gipp Arkitektur.

The facade is finished in a dark wooden colour to blend perfectly with the trees around it, with two cubes connected by the entrance and two glass walls that act like huge picture frames displaying the astonishing views outside. The concrete fireplace and the teak window frames create a peaceful and sophisticated atmosphere; when you are inside this house, you are be find a sense of humbleness, a place to enjoy a tranquil and quiet existence, if only momentarily.
